SEO Ann Arbor Explains Google Adwords
Adwords is Paid Advertising on Google
Unlike organic search results, which are based on Google’s opinion of how well your website matches the words a user typed into the search bar. Adwords results are paid for by businesses. The ads appear above or to the right of Google’s organic search results, as well as in a variety of places on other sites.
You can pay:
- Per impression, or when your ad shows up on a computer screen.
- Per click, or when somebody clicks on the ad to visit your web page.
Most businesses choose pay per click or PPC campaigns for a better return on their investment. Plus, for brick and mortar businesses, PPC campaigns can be isolated to a certain geographic area so you'll only pay for customers who are more likely to set foot in your store.
Who should use Google Adwords?
Almost everybody because the web has gotten so competitive! When you utilize PPC ads: (1) more ads means more potential listings on the search results page; and therefore (2) more potential visitors to your site.
Another important reason to consider a PPC campaign is to help you narrowly define the keywords and phrases on which you focus your marketing efforts.
